Train and run with Adidas' miCoach, now at version 3.0 with new look and features

Adidas has just updated its miCoach fitness app for iOS to version 3.0.
First up, the new 3.0 update to the app introduces a new official name: miCoach train & run. But perhaps more importantly, it introduces a new iOS 7-optimized design that comes with a restructured main menu navigation plus several new features.
Now, miCoach provides a sidebar menu for its main navigation. The first item in this menu, labeled GO, takes you to the home screen, which, according to Adidas, is "now focused on performance and is the central place to start your workouts." Tapping on the home screen lets you view a summary of your workout stats from the latest workout or the previous week, fortnight, three weeks or month.
In the main menu, you can also access the new Weekly Goal feature. This new training feature enables you to set short-term targets that you work toward every time you're active with miCoach. When setting a weekly goal, you can choose from the following objectives: get moving, lose weight, get in shape, fitness for sport, and endurance boost.
The new version of miCoach also lets you browse, add or change training plans.

Optimized for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 7.0 or later, miCoach 3.0 aka miCoach train & run is available now on the App Store for free. Aside from miCoach train & run, Adidas offers two other miCoach apps on iOS: miCoach multi-sport and miCoach smart ball. Last month, Adidas unveiled its new activity-tracking band in the form of the Fit Smart. Available beginning Aug. 17 for $199, the Fit Smart works with the miCoach system and syncs with the miCoach apps.
