September 25, 2014

First teased earlier this month, developer tap tap tap has just rolled out Camera+ 6 featuring a number of new features.

Most importantly, the app now takes advantage of the manual camera controls Apple has opened up in iOS 8.

With the new wheel control, photographers can capture that perfect shot with both the manual focus and manual exposure settings. Interestingly, the update also brings a shutter priority mode where the user selects the shutter speed, and the ISO is automatically set.

New white balance presets have also been added.

Also, a new Macro shooting mode allows photographers to take close-up images of small objects with focus control and detail.

Finally, with the app extension feature in iOS 8, users can edit their images with Camera+ directly from the stock Photos app.
