Bust some ghostly fruit as the Ghostbusters in Fruit Ninja's new Halloween edition

October 17, 2014

When there’s something strange in the dojo, who you gonna call? Fruit Ninja: Ghostbusters!

In time for the Halloween season and in celebration of the 30th anniversary of “Ghostbusters,” Fruit Ninja has been updated with new content based on the popular supernatural comedy franchise.

As a result, the entire Fruit Ninja gang has donned the iconic Ghostbusters uniform and picked up Ecto Googles and other ghost-busting equipment.

The new spooky edition of Fruit Ninja also features the Pneumatic Transit Dojo based on a classic location from “Ghostbusters II” where you can slice and vanquish various types of ghostly fruit.

Best of all, there’s the iconic Proton Pack, which you can use to draw an X to cross the streams and unleash what Fruit Ninja creator Halfbrick describes as “a fury of fruit destruction that has to be seen to be believed.”

Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 6.0 or later, Fruit Ninja is available on the App Store for $0.99.

Fruit Ninja’s “Ghostbusters”-themed update comes just a couple of weeks after the game’s biggest and greatest update, which saw the introduction of a new design, new powers, and new characters.
