Google launches Primer app for iOS to help startups learn lessons on marketing
Google continues to expand its presence on iOS with yet another new release on the App Store.
The search giant’s new iOS app is called Primer, and it’s basically a primer on marketing for startups:
Primer helps startups learn marketing, fast; whenever and wherever they have 5 minutes free. Designed for people who like things straight and to-the-point, Primer’s case studies and interactive quizzes teach big picture strategies that take the frustration out of marketing.
Primer also works offline for on-the-go learning and supports out-of-app learning through optional emailed activities.
Google partners with industry experts in building startup marketing lessons for Primer. At launch, the app includes lessons on Search Engine Marketing, Getting Media Coverage, and Content Marketing. But Google promises to add more topics to the app over time.
The launch of Primer comes just a couple of days after Google released its new Google News & Weather app on iOS. It also follows a string of updates to the company’s other iOS apps, including Chromecast, YouTube Creator Studio, Gmail, Google Play Newsstand (formerly Google Currents), Chrome, MyGlass, and the main Google search app.
