Rovio updates Angry Birds Friends with new Halloween tournament and global league
Rovio has just issued a major update to Angry Birds Friends, the freemium competitive edition of its popular Angry Birds game.
As expected of a game that features seasonal themed tournaments, Angry Birds Friends has been updated with a new spooky Halloween tournament.
Last year, the zombie bad piggies quite literally rose to the occasion. This year, the mummy pigs have emerged from the sandy dunes and pyramids, and they just won’t stay popped. As Rovio cautions, “Beware the Curse of the Mummy Pig!” Take a look:

In addition to the new Halloween tournament, the latest update to Angry Birds Friends introduces the new global league, challenging you to play against other players from around the world:
It’s you vs. the world in the NEW LEAGUE TOURNAMENT! Now the weekly tournament is not limited to only your friends list. Compete against millions of bird slingers across the globe! Climb the league tiers and earn a spot at the top in the Diamond tier!
