This Halloween, vanquish things that go bump in the night in Monster Flash for iOS
Just in time for Halloween, Monster Flash has found its way to the App Store.
Developed by Globber’s Escape creator Robomodo, Monster Flash is a top-down arcade game that offers a spooky twist on the classic Asteroids video game. In the game, you have to rotate your playable character in the dark to aim his or her flashlight at various monsters until they’re vanquished:
It’s a dark and stormy night… and your only defense against the ghosts and ghouls is your trusty flashlight. Creatures of all kinds surround you, coming from all directions. You can use your flashlight to protect yourself… Just don’t turn your back to the things that go bump in the night!

The core challenge in Monster Flash lies in the fact that some monsters are harder to vanquish than others while some move quicker than others. Deciding which way to rotate and which monsters to flash at any given moment, then, is really a matter of life and death in the game.
Fortunately, you can use your flashlight to pick up and activate power-ups for “supercharged” attacks.
The game also lets you unlock characters by reaching certian score levels or via in-app purchase.
Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad, Monster Flash is available now on the App Store for free, with a $0.99 in-app purchase offered for unlocking all current and future characters.
