YouTube and Facebook are now optimized for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus
Another popular app is now optimized for the larger screens of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. Google has just updated its official YouTube app with that great new feature.
That means text, and more importantly videos, should look clear and crisp on the high-resolution handsets.
Version 2.13 of the app also contains a number of bug fixes. Here’s the complete list:
* Prevent the status bar from overlapping the UI
* Address keyboard orientation issues
* Make scrubbing more responsive
* Show all playlists when adding videos
A universal app designed for the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad/iPad mini, YouTube can be downloaded now on the App Store for free.
Before the most recent update, the last notable version of the app arrived back in March. Version 2.5.0 brought both enhancements to both the playlist and commenting functionality.
Earlier this month, Google also updated Gmail and YouTube Creator Studio with optimization for Apple’s latest iPhone models.
Right after the new YouTube version went live, Facebook also updated its app with the same improvement. The free universal app is available to download now from the App Store.
