Carousel by Dropbox goes universal for the iPad, adds support for Instagram and WhatsApp
Dropbox has just expanded the reach of its Carousel photo and video storage app. Version 1.6 has just arrived, and it is now universal for the iPad/iPad mini along with the iPhone/iPod touch.
That’s a natural expansion for the app, and the layout looks very nice on an iPad’s larger screen.
The update also brings support for posting to Facebook-owned Instagram and WhatsApp Messenger. Previously, you could post photos directly to Facebook and Twitter along with sharing via email and SMS.
Finally, Dropbox has also unveiled a new Web-based portal for Carousel that can be found here.
Carousel by Dropbox can be downloaded now on the App Store for free.
The app originally arrived back in April. It was named as AppAdvice’s App of the Week shortly after its release.
In our original review, Christine Chan said the app is the best way to look through your Dropbox photos on a mobile device.
