Most significantly, Umano 5.0 introduces user profiles. User profile support allows you, a listener, to have your very own channel in the app, with which you can build a following by recommending interesting articles. Of course, you can also follow other Umano users and check out their recommended articles.
Moreover, Umano now lets you follow your favorite narrators and writers.
In addition to supporting profiles as channels, Umano 5.0 introduces a new design for easier hands-free listening and integration with a couple of iOS 8 features. It now lets you add articles to your playlist directly from interactive notifications, and access your playlist and Personalized and Popular feeds from its Today widget.
Umano is now also optimized for the higher resolutions of the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus.
Optimized for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 6.0 or later, Umano 5.0 is available now on the App Store for free, with in-app purchases offered for unlocking Umano Premium.
As it happens, Umano 5.0 also adds a new option to subscribe to Umano Premium for $35.99 per year, instead of $3.99 per month.
