Apple to hold grand opening of new retail store in Toledo, Ohio, on Dec. 6
Apple is set to hold the grand opening of another retail store in the U.S. this weekend.
As noted by MacRumors, the soon-to-open store is located at the Franklin Park Mall along Monroe St. in Toledo, Ohio. It’s the eighth Apple retail store in Ohio, joining others in Akron, Beavercreek, Cincinnati, Columbus, Westlake, and Woodmere.
The store is scheduled to officially open at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 6. As with its previous store inaugurations, Apple is expected to give away commemorative T-shirts to the first 1,000 customers to visit the new retail outlet.
A couple of weeks ago, Apple opened its 18th retail store in France, located on 1 Rue Faidherbe in Lille.
Before then, in October, Apple opened its new stores in Italy, Scotland, Florida, New Hampshire, and Turkey. Apple also said during its Q4 2014 financial results conference call that it would open 25 new stores in 2015, most of which would be located outside the U.S. In addition, Apple CEO Tim Cook said during his visit to China that the company would open 25 additional retail stores within the next two years in the country, which is Apple’s largest market.
Yesterday, Cook visited the Apple retail store in Georgetown, Washington, D.C., with (RED) CEO Deborah Dugan in honor of World AIDS Day. Apple retail stores around the world also underwent a (RED) makeover in support of the cause.
