Zynga invites you to go on a world tour with its new Words With Friends spinoff
Three months after launching a revamped version of Words With Friends, aptly called New Words With Friends, Zynga has officially released a globe-trotting spinoff of its popular word game, aptly called Words On Tour.
Essentially, Words On Tour combines Boggle-style word-building, Wheel of Fortune-style phrase-solving, and Candy Crush Saga-style level progression.
Each level of Words On Tour presents a word puzzle that you have to win over by forming words using adjacent letter tiles on the game board. With only a limited number of moves, a puzzle is completed by collecting a certain number of tiles or solving hidden phrases about the current destination. Words On Tour, by the way, features a map of destinations including Paris, Tokyo, Cairo, and San Francisco.
On top of that, in keeping with its world travel theme, the game challenges you to overcome real-world obstacles such as bad weather and roadblocks, and discover fun facts about famous world landmarks along the way.

Of course, being a Zynga game, Words On Tour also includes social gaming features. In the case of Words On Tour, such features allow you to progress alongside friends and share extra lives with them.
As a lifelong lover of word games, I’ve been greatly enjoying Words On Tour, not least because of its combination of familiar gameplay modes with an interesting world travel theme to boot.
