Lifeline series of interactive sci-fi adventure games continues with Silent Night
“Now … how did that old poem go, again? ‘’Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the ship, we were roused from our sleep by a loud radar blip?’” So begins the teaser for Lifeline: Silent Night, the third installment in the acclaimed Lifeline series of interactive sci-fi adventure mobile games developed by 3 Minute Games.
The Lifeline timelineThe Lifeline franchise began with the release of the original Lifeline title last April. The game introduced an interactive story in which an astronaut named Taylor deals with the aftermath of a crash landing on an alien moon.
A sequel, simply called Lifeline 2, followed in September. It featured a new story centered on Arika, a young woman hell-bent on avenging her parents and rescuing her long-lost brother.
And now, the third Lifeline title is here. It’s called Lifeline: Silent Night, and it sees the return of Taylor in a story that has a bit of a Christmas twist and a lot of plot turns.
All is not calm, all is not brightFeaturing a new narrative by series writer Dave Justus (whose other credits include the comics “Fables: The Wolf Among Us” and “Pubic Relations”), Lifeline: Silent Night invites you to immerse yourself in a tale of survival where you have to save the White Star and its crew by making choices that have significant consequences over the course of the story.
And to do so, you have to keep or catch up with Taylor’s notifications delivered by the game throughout the day, in line with its real-time storytelling conceit. You can even respond to Taylor through interactive notifications on your iOS device, without having to launch the app, or directly from your Apple Watch.
Like its predecessors, Lifeline: Silent Night offers a compelling combination of suspense and interactivity. So get it now for that device in your hand or on your wrist.
Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 8.0 or later, and optimized for Apple Watch, Lifeline: Silent Night is available now on the App Store for $2.99.
The original Lifeline game and the sequel Lifeline 2 are available on the App Store for $0.99 and $2.99, respectively.
