Every single day of the year (or sometimes over the weekend) we go through the thousands of apps that have been approved by Apple. Then, we select the most interesting ones, and share them with you. It's amazing, check it out:
Good news for all of you Ping addicts (and we know there are many of you), Apple has now made Ping, its social network for music, available on the iPad.
We can now confirm yesterday's rumors that Apple is delaying iOS 4.2 by at least another week. As speculated, Apple has just released a second final beta version of iOS 4.2 for iPad, which should fix the Wi-Fi issues the last version had.

Now that jailbreakers have made it easier than ever to install Android on an iPhone 2 and 3G thanks to bootlace, it's time to bring it to our fourth generation iDevices.

Right now iOS 4.2, is in it's GM version, and is almost ready to ship, but there are still some little things missing. For one, there is the video part of AirPlay, which nobody has seen yet. Then, there is AirPrint.

People like to joke about the fact that there is an app for just about everything, including shaving or toasting bread. There are even plenty of novelty apps that make your iPhone look like it's making coffee or that it's a stun gun. Next time you hear someone bring up the latter, don't make fun of them right away, as the joke could be on you.

Verizon's Apple-bashing commercials are now well behind us. Following their historic deal with Apple to distribute the iPad, along with their own mobile MiFi data routers, Verizon is now running iPad TV commercials of their own.
Facebook has been holding a lot of events lately, and unveiling tons of new features. One thing they still haven't gotten around to launching is an official iPad app. Knowing how popular Facebook is on the iPhone, and the flourishing market for third party Facebook iPad clients on the App Store, there is definitely a need. Now, it may be right around the corner.
When it comes to IM clients, I swear by the official AIM app. It also helps that it's the only chat protocol I use. I do really like the idea of having one app to do just one thing, but very well. AIM certainly does that, and thanks to a great new update, it just got a whole lot better.
As great and revolutionary as iOS games might have been for the gaming industry, implementing good controls for them is still a huge challenge. A group of jailbreakers (the same ones that brought FaceTime to Middle East countries), has now found a way to activate FaceTime on legacy devices like the 3GS.
While we're all used to seeing the folks on CSI and NCIS boast all kind of iDevices, so do their non-fictional coutnerparts. Indeed, as eagle-eyed AppAdvice reader William noticed in last Friday's WSJ edition, Greek CSI cops in Athens are using the iPhone 4 at crime scenes.
Now that Apple released the pre-final version of iOS 4.2 and we've told you everything there is to know about it, you're probably wondering when it's coming out. Today, we're hearing some new rumors about a possible release date.
The woes surrounding the serious performance hit the iPhone 3G took, with the arrival of iOS 4, have somewhat faded away now, especially since the release of iOS 4.1. With Apple due to release iOS 4.2 any day now, those of you still using a 3G model are probably wondering if this version will work with your device.
