It’s hard to believe, but we’ve had 10 years of iPhone. The original model was introduced 10 years ago today on Jan. 9, 2007. Even though the first version handset didn’t hit the market until later that year, the iPhone was well on its way into the history books and changed technology and much more.

And to celebrate, take a look at CNET’s animated history of the iPhone. Even though it was put together back in 2011, it still features some fun facts about the iPhone and the world before and after.
