Apple Seeds iOS 11 Public Beta 3
Anyone interested can now download the third iOS 11 public beta directly from Apple. It arrives one day after iOS 11 beta 4 was seeded to registered developers.
Once you sign up on Apple’s site, you’ll download a special certificate to your device and then download the software.
Here are some of the changes and improvements public beta tester should expect:
- On the Notification Center page, you can swipe right to open an individual notification or swipe left to close it.
- The icons for Notes, Contacts, and Reminders have slightly been altered.
- There is a new introductory screen when opening Notes and Photos that detail some of the changes.
If you’re interested, you can read and see more about the changes here.
You can take a look at our how-to and find out what to expect if you join the public program. And while the idea of downloading pre-release software might sound fun, there are a number of caveats to consider.
The software will officially land to the public sometime this fall. Take a look at our special section to read more about the changes in iOS 11.
Apple also released the third beta version of tvOS 11 and macOS High Sierra.
