IMDB iMessage App Makes Talking About Movies and TV Shows Easy
Are you and your family and friends such movie buffs and couch potatoes that you spend a great deal of time chatting about films, TV shows, and even celebrities from the entertainment industry? Then the new IMDB iMessage app is just the thing for you.
IMDb links in iMessage
The official iOS app of IMDb has just been updated to version 7.0. And undoubtedly the biggest thing about IMDb 7.0 is that it introduces IMDb’s official iMessage extension.
Showtimes
Planning to watch a movie with your pals? Now, chatting on iMessage to decide when and where to see, say, the remake of “Pete’s Dragon” is much easier. With the IMDb iMessage app, you can quickly search for movies showing in your area and send links to showtimes.
Movies and TV shows
Engrossed in an iMessage conversation about your favorite movies and the TV shows you’ve been binge-watching? Send links to them for more information using IMDb’s iMessage extension.
Celebrities
IMDb’s iMessage extension also lets you search and share links to celebrity pages, so you and your friends know exactly which actors, directors, or crew members you’re talking about.
More improvements
Apart from the iMessage extension, IMDb 7.0 delivers other improvements, including 3D Touch support for all homepage links, optimization for the iPad Pro’s screen size, and, in honor of Bollywood, a new page dedicated to top rated Indian movies. It also includes the following fixes:
- When buying movie tickets, expired times now gray out
- Photo viewer no longer hides the top portion of some images in portrait mode
- Accessibility improvements on the home page
- Long cinema names no longer overlap other text
- When editing a user list, the privacy toggle is now labeled
Get IMDb
To use IMDb’s iMessage extension, download it from the iMessage App Store by searching for “IMDb” or, if you already have the IMDb app installed, be sure it’s enabled in the Manage tab of the iMessage App Store.
