The iPhone X Release Date: The Future is Finally Almost Here
Believe it or not, the iPhone X release date is now just days away. Since first being announced on Sept. 12, the world has waited patiently for Apple’s next flagship device to arrive. Here’s your guide to all things iPhone X.
Availability
Pre-orders for the 5.8-inch iPhone X begin this Friday, Oct. 27 at 12:01 a.m. PDT. The device will be available in silver and space gray varieties only with 64GB and 256GB of storage.
Customers in the following countries can pre-order an iPhone X this week:
- Andorra, Australia, Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Greenland, Guernsey, Hong Kong, Hungary, Iceland, India, Ireland, Isle of Man, Italy, Japan, Jersey, Kuwait, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Mexico, Monaco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Qatar, Romania, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, UAE, the UK, the US and US Virgin Islands.

At launch, there might only be 2-3 million iPhone X units available by the time the iPhone X release date rolls around on Nov. 3. Typically, Apple sells 10 million iPhone units during the first weekend orders are accepted. In other words, get those pre-orders in fast.
Key Features
The iPhone X has some features never seen before on an Apple handset. These include an all-new 7-megapixel TrueDepth camera that enables the Touch ID replacement, Face ID.
The handset also includes brand new Animoji. These animated emoji come to life after the phone’s A11 Bionic chip and TrueDepth camera analyze your facial movements. Available as an iMessage app pre-installed on iPhone X, customers can record and send Animoji messages with their voice that can smile, frown, and more.
Of course, the most prominent new feature on the iPhone X is its all-screen OLED Super Retina display that supports Dolby Vision and HDR10.
