Enter Miffy’s World to Learn and Play With the Famous White Rabbit
When Dick Bruna died on February 16, admirers of the renowned Dutch artist lamented the loss of a true talent. But even though he had passed on, his legacy was widely expected to live on through his most notable creation, a small white rabbit named Miffy. And now, a month later, an app featuring Miffy has been released on iOS. It’s called Miffy’s World.
Developed by the children’s app studio StoryToys, Miffy’s World is an interactive app that lets kids have fun while learning with the beloved title character. Based on the Miffy storybooks and the TV series “Miffy’s Adventures Big and Small,” the app features 3-D animations and environments that invite children to engage in various activities with Miffy.
Spend the day with Miffy
Join Miffy as she goes about her day in her colorful and idyllic world. Help her pick clothes to wear from her wardrobe. Play fetch with her dog Snuffy. Spend time with a good book. Fly a kite. Take a bath. You can do these and a number of other activities as you explore Miffy’s World.
Tuck Miffy in
Miffy’s World features different activities, including fun games like block-building and gentle tasks such as tucking Miffy in, that foster self-expression and inspire creativity in its young users. The more kids play with Miffy in the app, the more activities are unlocked.
Contrary to what her name means in English, Miffy is not easily annoyed or irritated. She’s actually quite friendly and mild-mannered — qualities that parents would be wise to inculcate these kids with from an early age. And Miffy’s World could help, bolstered as it is by a gentle disposition and a serene audiovisual experience. It’s also a nice way of honoring the memory of Miffy’s late creator.
Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad, and optimized with iMessage stickers, Miffy’s World is available now on the App Store for $3.99.
