Moleskine has just released the biggest update yet to Timepage. The update, which brings the app to version 2.0, includes a number of new and noteworthy features and enhancements.

Launched in May 2015 and named by Apple as one of the best iPhone apps of 2015, Timepage is an elegant and intuitive calendar app developed by Moleskine, the company best known for its luxury notebooks, journals, and planners.

Heat maps of your schedule

Moleskine Timepage takes a unique approach on your busy schedule. While you are greeted with an agenda list of your upcoming events and appointments when launching the app, you can swipe from the left edge of the screen to access the Month view. In the Month view, Moleskine Timepage shows you "heat maps" of your month, with more vivid days indicating that you are more busy. It's a great way to see just how hectic the month will be in a single glance.

Focus on one day at a time

When you need to focus, you have to focus on what is happening today, and today only. To do this in Moleskine Timepage, just tap on a day you want to view and you will see all of the appointments you have for the day in one view, so you can quickly check if there is any open block available in your schedule. Plus, if you tap on an event, you can see more details, such as a map of where it is, how long it will take to get there via different transportation modes, who else is going, notes, and even the weather. Timepage also has an hourly forecast for the day if you tap-and-hold on the weather icon. It's the most comprehensive way to check on how your day is going to go without having to rely on multiple apps.

Adding events

Instead of using swipe gestures, you can tap the plus button in the month heat map and the day screen to add an event. Then you can tap and hold on the time scrubber to zoom in and be able to set specific minutes for the event.

Editing events

When editing an event, simply tap the date to change the date of the event.

Advanced repeating events

Create advanced repeating schemes for your events by adjusting the available options. For example, you can set an event to repeat every three months on the third Friday of the month for three times.

Better notes

Enter URLs, email addresses, telephone numbers, and flight numbers in event notes and be able to tap them to perform the corresponding actions.

Timeline scale

Simply pinch in and out on the timeline to smoothly adjust the number of days displayed on it.

Text size

Go to Preferences > Text Size and drag the slider to adjust the text size throughout the app. Note that doing so overrides the Dynamic Type setting.

New theme colors

Go to Themes to personalize your theme by selecting from a dynamic circle cluster or list of colors, including new pastel colors complemented with dark or light text options.
