There's Some Fine Print to Consider on the Jet Black iPhone 7

Jet black is available in 128GB and 256GB models. The high-gloss finish of the jet black iPhone 7 is achieved through a precision nine-step anodization and polishing process. Its surface is equally as hard as other anodized Apple products; however, its high shine may show fine micro-abrasions with use. If you are concerned about this, we suggest you use one of the many cases available to protect your iPhone.

While that might not bother some users, the idea of micro-abrasions on an expensive iPhone doesn’t exactly sound pleasant. Either way, I suspect clear cases will definitely be a popular accessory choice for buyers.

The last dark black handset offered by Apple – the iPhone 5 – was proned to scratches and abrasions on the edge and rear shell. A lighter space gray model arrived on the iPhone 5s and was available for both the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s cycle.

Along with the jet black iPhone 7, there is a lighter matte black version available.

The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will arrive next week on Friday, Sept. 16. Preorders will kick off this Friday, Sept. 9.

You’ll be able to purchase an iPhone 7 starting at $649 and the iPhone 7 Plus at $769. There will be three different memory options – 32GB, 128GB, and 256GB. Along with the two black models, buyers can also select from a silver, rose gold, and gold option.
