The new app El Trackpad can turn any iPhone or iPad into a Mac trackpad with familiar gesture support.
If you’ve ever used a Magic Trackpad or the built-in version on any MacBook model, you’ll be right at home with the app. You can tap with one finger to clock, right-click with two fingers, and more.
You can also take advantage of more advanced options like swiping left or right with four fingers to move between apps or desktops and to pinch with your whole hand to show the desktop.
El Trackpad is designed for the iPhone and all iPad models. It can be downloaded now on the App Store for free.
You can try out the app for seven days for free. After that, you can unlock the full app for $3.99.
To use the app, you’ll also need to install the companion Mac app as well.
Just to note, you’ll need to connect your iPhone or iPad to the Mac via USB cable. While that’s definitely a downside, it’s a small price to pay to use your iPhone or iPad as a full-featured trackpad.
