Surf And Sprint Through The New York City Subway In Subway Surfers
January 2, 2013
Subway Surfers is going on a world tour. And guess who's invited to join in. You, of course!
A favorite of mine since its release in May last year, Subway Surfers is a behind-the-back endless runner that involves grinding trains and hopping on hoverboards.
For its last couple of major updates, Subway Surfers was themed into a spooky land for Halloween and into a winter wonderland for Christmas. Now, Subway Surfers has been updated to welcome the new year with a theme inspired by … New York.
That's right: New York. But Subway Surfers has turned into the famous city not necessarily to celebrate the new year but specifically to mark the beginning of the Subway Surfers World Tour.
The Subway Surfers World Tour is now underway, and its first stop is none other than New York City. As a result, Subway Surfers lets you explore the NYC Subway as you play.
Note that, unlike the past Halloween and Christmas themes, the New York City theme (or any future World Tour skin for that matter) may not be disabled.
Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad, the newly updated Subway Surfers is available now in the App Store for free.
The new version of the game also features a new street smart character named Tony and four new beautifully designed boards: Skull Fire, Miami, Monster, and Liberty.
