January 30, 2014
Electronic Arts has just officially launched on iOS its modern mobile remake of Dungeon Keeper, the popular strategy game it released in July 1997 in collaboration with developer Peter Molyneux.
Also called Dungeon Keeper, the new iOS game offers the basic devilish dungeon-building and -defending gameplay of the original:
Devilishly smart. Deploy wicked tactics and dominate your enemies! Build the ultimate underground lair and summon diabolical forces to do your bidding. It’s tower defense…without the tower…and a lot more offensive! If you can't see the video embedded above, please click here. But, of course, the remake features a number of notable enhancements, including 3-D graphics rendered in a new art style, humorous interactions, and worldwide alliances. In the game, you have to be build an underground lair and an army of vicious creatures (including imps, trolls, demons, and warlocks) to help you defend your dungeon from invaders and attack enemy dungeons. Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 5.0 or later, Dungeon Keeper is available now in the App Store for free.
