Beats Music will soon be moving up to the larger screen of the iPad and iPad mini.
Just recently on Twitter, and first spotted by 9to5Mac, the service tweeted this:
THIS JUST IN: Your favorite Music App is feeling ready to grow in size...literally... pic.twitter.com/MMlBQyLLQG — Beats Music (@beatsmusic) April 30, 2014As you can see it obviously shows a version of the Beats Music app optimized for Apple tablets. That’s definitely great news for subscribers. No other information was announced. After a bumpy launch in January, the service seems to be finding its footing in the crowded marketplace competing against other options like Spotify, Rdio, and Apple’s own iTunes Radio. An upgrade earlier this month brought a big change. Starting with version 1.0.7, users can subscribe to the service with an in-app purchase and manage their account via iTunes. An offline mode also allows users to listen to some music without an Internet connection. Shortly after the update, it became the No. 1 downloaded music app in the store. But a report said that subscriber numbers have so far been “disappointing,” hovering in the low six figures. We’ll definitely let you know if we hear any more information about the iPad app. The current app, designed for the iPhone/iPod touch, can be downloaded now on the App Store for free. You’ll need a $9.99 monthly subscription to listen to music after the free 7-day trial expires.
