Tim Cook And Eddy Cue Tease 'Exciting' Products At Opening Of Apple's New Austin Campus

June 6, 2014
Apple CEO Tim Cook and SVP of Internet Software and Services Eddy Cue visited Apple's new campus in Austin, Texas, today in celebration of the facility's opening, reports 9to5Mac. The two top execs talked about Apple's recent Beats Music and Beats Electronics acquisition. They also teased that "exciting" products are coming from the company — reiterating Cue's pronouncement at the first annual Code Conference last week that "we’ve got the best product pipeline that I’ve seen in my 25 years at Apple." Cook, in particular, remarked on former Burberry CEO Angela Ahrendts' appointment as Apple's new SVP of Retail and Online Stores. He also spoke about some of the announcements made by Apple at its WWDC keynote earlier this week. The new Austin campus is quite similar to Apple's headquarters in Cupertino, California, equipped with facilities for Apple support, engineering, and operations. It serves as Apple's operations center in the U.S. While the campus is now fully operational, its construction is not expected to be completed by the end of 2021.
