Apple offering iMaschine for free via the Apple Store app in celebration of iTunes Festival
Apple is offering the popular music app iMaschine free for a limited time through its official Apple Store app.
Developed by Native Instruments, iMaschine is touted as “the groove sketchpad.” Indeed, the app offers on-the-go and real-time groove production right at the palm of your hand primarily through its collection of 16 pads and built-in library of projects, kits, and samples.
The app is priced at $4.99 on the App Store. But you can download it free of charge via the Apple Store app, which is itself free to download from the App Store.
Just go to the Stores tab in the redesigned Apple Store app on iPhone or iPod touch and scroll to the bottom to get a promo code to download iMaschine for free.
Note that the freebie is available only in the Apple Store app for iPhone and iPod touch, as it’s not included anywhere in the app’s iPad edition.
However, once you download iMaschine for your iPhone or iPod touch, you can also download it for free from the App Store onto your iPad or iPad mini since it’s a universal app. In fact, iMaschine is featured by Apple in a recent “Your Verse” ad for the iPad as one of the favorite apps of the Beijing-based electropop musicians of Yaoband:

As indicated in the screenshot above, iMaschine is offered by Apple in celebration of the iTunes Festival, which is being held throughout this month at the Roundhouse in London.
Last month, Apple offered free downloads of Rise Alarm Clock, Runtastic Pro, Tydlig, and Bicolor to encourage college students to “Get going,” “Head out,” “Work hard,” and “Wind down” during the new school year.
