Facebook introduces new story-driven collage layout for sharing photos on mobile
Facebook is rolling out new features for its official mobile apps for iPhone and Android to allow easier sharing of multiple photos.
Essentially, Facebook is pushing a new collage layout that puts a focus on visual storytelling, similar to the likes of Storehouse and Steller.
When uploading photos to Facebook on mobile, you can now select and preview them in the exact order you want them to appear. You can then enter an introduction for the story, if any, that links the photos, and add a caption to each photo.
Should you want an arrangement different from the original order in which you selected them, the photos can be easily reordered by dragging them.
“Once you’ve shared your photos, you and your friends will see the story in a new collage layout,” Facebook notes. “Tapping into a photo lets you scroll through the story from beginning to end, as you created it.”
These new features are coming presumably through a backend update to Facebook for iPhone and Android.
Facebook for iPhone is available to download as a universal iOS app from the App Store for free.
