“The holidays are a time when families get together, and the birds are no exception.”
That's according to the Finnish entertainment company Rovio, which has just released an update to Angry Birds Seasons that sees Terence the Big Brother Bird visiting his cousin Tony in frosty Finland in a new holiday episode.
Developed by Rovio in partnership with the Finnish travel guide VisitFinland.com, the new holiday episode of the seasonal event-driven game is titled “On Finn Ice” and features 25 new wintery Finland-themed levels. With Terence and Tony, you can enjoy these levels while popping pigs amid Finnish landscapes, learn Finnish fun facts with Professor Pig, and listen to the new theme song performed by the Finnish metal band Apocalyptica.

Note, though, that the new levels are released one by one, with a new level unlocked every day beginning today, Dec. 1, and concluding on Christmas Day, Dec. 25.
Angry Birds for iPhone and Angry Birds HD for iPad are also available on the App Store for $0.99 and $2.99, respectively. Also, both editions of the original Angry Birds game are included in the Apps for (RED) charity fundraising promotion, which is part of Apple's campaign in support of World AIDS Day. But while World AIDS Day is officially observed today, Dec. 1, the promotion has been going on since Monday, Nov. 24, and is set to run through Sunday, Dec. 7.
