Popular Web browser app iCab Mobile updated with Touch ID support and other features
The so-called “Internet Taxi” Web browser app iCab Mobile has just been updated with further enhancements for iOS 8.
In October, iCab Mobile was optimized for iOS 8 with 1Password and Dashlane extension support (see video below) and popover menus on iPhone (similar to the ones on iPad), along with full resolution support for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.
Now, the app has gained a couple more improvements for iOS 8.
First, iCab Mobile now supports Touch ID for logging in to the Admin account on iPhone 5s, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPad Air 2, and iPad mini 3.
And second, it now supports iOS 8’s standard document picker in the download manager for exporting or importing files to or from external cloud storage services with installed app extensions.

The latest update to iCab Mobile also includes the following improvements:
- App Store links can now open the App Store as sheet within the App itself (configurable in the “Web sites” settings)
- The scrollbar can be placed to the left or right, when enabled
- The filters can be switched on/off via Action menu and via toolbar icon
- New module added to speak the content of the web site aloud
