Rovio flings new content into Angry Birds Friends and Angry Birds Space
Rovio has just introduced new content to two of the titles based on its Angry Birds physics-based puzzle game, Angry Birds Friends and Angry Birds Space.
For the competitive Angry Birds Friends, there are two tournaments brought in the game by Rovio in partnership with the National Hockey League (NHL).
You see, the NHL All-Star Game is happening this weekend, with the Columbus Blue Jackets and the city of Columbus serving as hosts. And in celebration of the event, Angry Birds Friends has kicked off two week-long hockey-themed tournaments, with the first ending on Jan. 25 and the second on Feb. 1.
What’s more, the tournaments feature a new playable character, NHL HockeyBird.
