Yelp enables you to find nearby places and read business reviews on your Apple Watch
Yelp is on the way … to the Apple Watch.
The popular local business review service has just updated its official iOS app with support for Apple’s highly anticipated smart watch.
“In this new world where your wrist is the landscape, Yelp steps up once again as your trusted compass,” the Yelp team says. “Now it’s even easier to access local business information when you need it most — while out and about looking for a place to grab a bite, meet a friend, or find the closest mood-boosting latte.”
Yelp’s Apple Watch companion app lets you find nearby restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and other businesses along with their respective star ratings, review counts, price ranges, hours of operation, and even distances and directions from your current location.
What’s more, to better help you decide where to go, Yelp for Apple Watch lets you access business reviews optimized for reading on your wrist.

Yelp for Apple Watch, by the way, also supports Continuity so that you can Handoff from your Apple Watch to your iPhone to place a call, add a review, take a photo or video, or check in to the business.
Yelp’s Apple Watch update closely follows that of Foursquare, which lets you know of and search for nearby places to visit and find out what’s best at the place you’re at, right from your wrist.
