Tweetbot 3 for the iPhone updated with support for Twitter’s native quote tweet feature
The powerful iPhone Twitter client Tweetbot 3 has just received a notable update. With version 3.6 of the app, users can now take advantage of Twitter’s new quote tweet feature.
Instead of quoting the entire tweet, you’ll just see the actual URL. That will give you more space for your own thoughts.
Here’s an example of what a quote tweet looks like in the app.
To use the feature, you’ll need to select Standard Quote in the app’s Quote Format setting.
Tweetbot is designed for the iPhone/iPod touch and can be downloaded now on the App Store for $4.99.

While Tweetbot may not be your style, another nice option is Twitterific 5. A recent update to that app brought support for the Apple Watch with an in-app purchase of $1.99.
On your Apple Watch, you can take a look at your 25 most recent replies, mentions, direct messages, favorites, retweets, and new followers. You can even compose a new tweet using voice dictation.
But I still highly recommend Tweetbot 3. It’s a great way for Twitter fans to get more out of the social networking service.
