Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions gets Evolved with new content
When it was released on iOS late last May, Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions had already been a great dual-stick shooter game. So great, in fact, that it was hailed shortly after its launch as AppAdvice’s Game of the Week. But just over a month after its iOS debut, Geometry Wars 3 has already received a huge update that makes it an even greater game.
Join the evolution
Bringing the game to version 2.0, the new update to Geometry Wars 3 delivers the content of the Evolved update that was issued to the game’s console counterpart last March. As a result, Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions is now called Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions Evolved.
Evolved adds 40 new levels to Adventure mode along with five new 3-D grids, four new battle modes, a new Sweep companion drone, and a new Detonator super ability.
Elsewhere, the update revamps the Classic game modes to feature HD visuals. It also introduces a new Hardcore mode where you can put yourself on your mettle by conquering 20 new levels without the aid of drones and supers. Given the competitive nature of Hardcore, it of course has its own dedicated leaderboard.

Do the math
Evolved practically doubles the content of Geometry Wars 3. In its Evolved state, the game now boasts more than 100 levels, 15 3-D grids, 12 battle modes, six drones, and five supers. And the nice thing about it is that all that additional content comes as a free update to Geometry Wars 3.
Note, though, that Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions Evolved still doesn’t include support for multiplayer mode, which may not come to the iOS game at all.
At any rate, Geometry Wars 3 is hands down one of the best games you can buy on iOS.
