Your Instagram Likes Are Hard to Find, but They're in the iOS App
In another helpful article, I demonstrated how to save photos from Instagram. However, what if you want to revisit those Instagram posts you liked in the past? It’s easy to see the likes you’ve received, but not so much so for hearts you’ve given other posts. The app doesn’t make this very intuitive, but it does keep track of your Instagram likes. Once you know where to look, you can find every post you’ve ever tapped the heart for and enjoy the images all over again.
Your Instagram Likes Are in … Settings?
If you don't have the Instagram app, get it now
As strange as it may sound, that’s exactly where you’ll find all of your Instagram likes, the posts you’ve tapped the heart icon for. Here’s a walkthrough on finding the right spot
From the Instagram home page, tap on the figure icon in the bottom right corner to get to your profile.
In the top right corner of your profile page, you’ll see a gear icon. Tap it.
Aha, here we go. Look down a bit, and you’ll see a link labelled Posts You’ve Liked. Tap on it.
Now you have a view of all of the posts you’ve liked, arranged in a grid. If you want a timeline view of the posts with larger images, tap on the bulleted list.
Now you can see all of your Instagram likes the way you first viewed them, in full size with the caption and links to view comments.
Why Is It So Hard to Find Instagram Likes?
It befuddles me to think of why it’s so challenging to find your Instagram likes. As easy as it is to view who liked your posts, you would think the developers would make it simpler to review the images you’ve loved in the past. Nevertheless, it’s been this way for quite some time.
