Day 10 Of Apple's 12 Days Of Gifts Offers 'Great Vibrations' Episode Of 'Sesame Street'

January 4, 2014
Can you tell me how to get to Sesame Street? Well, here's how, through Apple's 12 Days of Gifts. Apple's 12 Days of Gifts has just been refreshed for its 10th day. And for day 10 of the holiday giveaway app, Apple is offering, at least in the U.S., a free episode of the long-running children's TV series "Sesame Street." The episode is called "Great Vibrations," and it comes from the collection "Sesame Street, Selections from Season 43." Here's the episode's synopsis in the iTunes Store:
Abby sees that Bob is teaching a music class and decides she’d like to join, but first she’ll need an instrument. Grover appears with a suitcase filled with all sorts of instruments for her to select from, when he decides he’s like to join too! Which instrument will he choose for himself?
"Great Vibrations" is currently available for free in HD through the 12 Days of Gifts app. Both its HD and SD versions are available for free directly from the iTunes Store. It's normally priced at $2.99 in HD and $1.99 in SD. Apple’s 12 Days of Gifts is available in the App Store for free. It’s compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 7.0 or later. "Great Vibrations" is the second TV episode to be featured by Apple in 12 Days of Gifts. The first was the pilot episode of the fairy tale drama series "Once Upon a Time," which was offered for day two of the app. Fortunately, 12 Days of Gifts is linking directly to the free "Sesame Street" episode, as opposed to linking to the entire season, which was the case for the "Once Upon a Time" pilot. This resulted in some confusion among customers who were instead taken to a screen whose main download button is labeled with a price — that of the entire first season of "Once Upon a Time." "Great Vibrations" is also the second 12 Days of Gifts item that's targeted toward kids, the first one being Toca House for day four. Apple also previously offered the following “gifts” through 12 Days of Gifts: Justin Timberlake's iTunes Festival EP for day one, Tiny Thief for day two (alongside the "Once Upon a Time" pilot), “Lonely Planet’s Best in Travel 2014″ for day three, Martin Scorsese’s “Hugo” for day five, Avicii’s “New Year’s Eve Mix” for day six, Rayman Jungle Run for day seven, Jeff Kinney’s “Diary of a Wimpy Kid” for day eight, and Kings of Leon's iTunes Festival EP for day nine.
