Day 7 Of Apple's 12 Days Of Gifts Offers Ubisoft's Rayman Jungle Run For Free
January 1, 2014
Already, we've told you not once, but twice, that Rayman Jungle Run has just gone free. Well, we're here to tell you again since we've just discovered that it's the free download offer for the seventh day of Apple's 12 Days of Gifts.
Indeed, Rayman Jungle Run's going from $2.99 to free turns out to have been done in anticipation of its being featured as a "gift" in 12 Days of Gifts today. This means that you can download it for free today via the 12 Days of Gifts app rather than getting it directly from the App Store.
Apple’s 12 Days of Gifts is available in the App Store for free. It’s compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 7.0 or later.
Apple previously offered the following “gifts” through 12 Days of Gifts: Justin Timberlake’s iTunes Festival EP for day one, the “One Upon a Time” pilot and Tiny Thief for day two, “Lonely Planet’s Best in Travel 2014″ for day three, Toca House for day four, Martin Scorsese’s “Hugo” for day five, and Avicii's "New Year's Eve Mix" for day six, New Year's Eve.
Back to Rayman Jungle Run: developed by Ubisoft based on the Rayman Origins console game, it's an auto-running platformer game featuring, of course, the popular limbless title character. And it's an acclaimed platformer at that, as it earned an AppAdvice Game of the Week honorable mention shortly after its release in September 2012 and received Apple's iPhone Game of the Year award for 2012.
Rayman Jungle Run got a sequel of sorts last November in the form of the fun and festive Rayman Fiesta Run, which is available in the App Store for $2.99.
