Apple Confirms Its New Retail Store In Basel, Switzerland Is Opening On July 12
Another new Apple Retail Store set to open its doors is located in Basel, Switzerland, with the new venue’s Grand Opening scheduled for July 12, according to Cupertino.
The news comes from MacRumors, which explains that the new retail store is located on “Freie Strasse, a shopping area famous in Basel.”
Situated among several “high end stores and restaurants,” Apple’s new retail location will occupy building number 47 on the street.
This isn’t Cupertino’s first retail store in the nation – others are located in Geneva, Zurich, and Wallisellen – yet it’s nevertheless significant. At present, Apple is embarking on a huge retail push that’s seeing the company open new stores in North America, Europe, and Asia.
Under the new retail leadership of Angela Ahrendts, Apple is also expanding the international availability of its “Reuse and Recycle” iPhone trade-in program, with the service recently launching in Italy.
The new store in Basel is opening at 10 a.m. local time. As MacRumors adds, it’s likely that free T-shirts will be handed out to some of the first customers in line. Could Angela Ahrendts also be in attendance? We’ll have to wait and see.
We’ll keep you updated with further information as we receive it.
