Misfit for iOS updated with support for new Flash fitness and sleep monitor
Misfit has just updated its official iOS app with support for its new activity tracker, Flash.
Unveiled just a couple of weeks ago as the successor to Shine, Flash is a wearable accessory that serves as a fitness and sleep monitor. In connection with the Misfit app, Flash lets you track your activity, set your daily goals, see your progress over time, compete with friends on the leaderboards, and more.
As we previously noted:
Flash is made of polycarbonate and wrapped in “soft touch” thermoplastic polyurethane. It is a little bit thicker than its predecessor and comes with a new push button physical user interface. It can be worn anywhere on the body using wrist straps and clasps.
Flash is available to preorder on the Misfit online store for $49.99 and is expected to begin shipping by mid-October.
In addition to Flash support, the new version of the Misfit app features support for manually logging activity and tracking yoga and dance. It also features compatibility with the popular fitness-tracking app RunKeeper.
Aside from Flash, Misfit works with Misfit Shine, Beddit Sleep Monitor, and Pebble Smartwatch.
Speaking of Pebble, the Misfit app for the popular smart watch has just been updated to allow for nonstop activity tracking and sleep monitoring.
