Popular feed reader app Reeder 2 now optimized for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus
While some of its chief competitors (including Newsify, Fiery Feeds, and NewsBlur) had been updated for the new iPhones shortly after the devices’ launch, it’s only now that Reeder 2, arguably the most popular feed reader app for iOS, has been similarly optimized for the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus.
Well, better later than never. Especially since Reeder’s iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus support comes with support for landscape mode and the standard share sheet in iOS 8, the latter of which can be accessed by tapping “More…” in the app’s share panel.
The latest update to Reeder also includes various bug fixes for iOS 8 and improved handling of failed authentication errors.
The app’s last major update arrived in July and brought sync service support for FeedHQ, Inoreader, NewsBlur, Minimal Reader, The Old Reader, and BazQux Reader, in addition to Feedbin, Feedly, Feed Wrangler, Fever, Readability, and local RSS. A similar update was also issued to Reeder 2 for Mac.
