Clash of Clans developer Supercell soft-launches Spooky Pop match-three puzzle game
Supercell is out with a brand new game, which it has just soft-launched on the App Store.
But this new game is markedly different from the mobile game developer’s current hits, including the farming simulation game Hay Day, the tropical warfare game Boom Beach, and, of course, the phenomenally popular strategy game Clash of Clans.
Spooky Pop, as the new game is called, is actually a match-three puzzle adventure game. But it sets itself apart from most other games of its kind, notably King’s Candy Crush Saga, with its new twist on puzzle matching.
But first, a little backstory reveal is in order for Spooky Pop:
A curious but well-meaning Professor has opened a portal to the supernatural world in an experiment gone awry! Spookical spectres are crossing over and invading this sleepy town. Now the Professor and his scrappy band of volunteers have embarked on a ghost toasting adventure, and they need YOUR HELP!
And your help you can offer by matching as many blocks as you can to power up the team and bust the invading ghosts.
Spooky Pop features 100 levels with new ghosts to discover as players progress. Of course, it also comes with social network integration for playing and competing with friends.
The free-to-play Spooky Pop is available now in soft-launch mode on the App Store in Canada.
We’ll, of course, let you know when the game becomes available worldwide.
