Rovio updates Angry Birds Go! with local multiplayer, launches Sky Punks endless dasher
Rovio is fast and furious with the latest update to one of the games in its Angry Birds franchise and the latest release from its Rovio Stars third-party game publishing arm.
First off, the Finnish entertainment company has just issued an update to Angry Birds Go! that boosts the kart racing game’s multiplayer feature.
Released in December 2013, Angry Birds Go was updated with a multiplayer mode in July 2014, enabling players to race against Facebook friends and other players from around the world over the Internet. This mode was enhanced the following November with the addition of three-on-three multiplayer racing.
And now, Angry Birds Go has gained support for local multiplayer through a new party mode. This lets you race against your friends as long as you’re on the same Wi-Fi network. So, invite your fellow players (and loners) and get racing in the same room (or even in the same house or building).
As Rovio teases in the trailer for Angry Birds Go’s local multiplayer update, you don’t have to play all by yourself:

Local multiplayer is available now in the latest version of Angry Birds Go!, which is free to download on the App Store.
Rovio also caters to players’ need for speed with the debut of Sky Punks.
Developed by Fathom Interactive and released by Rovio Stars, Sky Punks is an endless runner that lets you dash on so-called Glidewings for as long and as far as you can. Like most other endless runners, it has you dodging obstacles, collecting power-ups, completing challenges, and unlocking characters.
It’s a pretty conventional endless adventure game as far as gameplay is concerned, which is to say that it’s likely to satisfy fans of the genre. But it also has gorgeous anime-inspired graphics for your eyes to feast upon while your fingers get gliding. Take a look:
