Late last night Apple released the final Gold Master version of iOS 4.2 to developers. We've already shown you all the new features, and right now you probably want to try it yourself. Well, you can.

Good news folks, Apple just released the pre-final version of iOS 4.2 to members of the Apple developer program. iOS 4.2 Gold Master, or GM as it's called should be the exact version that Apple will be shipping very soon (hopefully) to the public. That is, unless any major bugs are found in this version.

The idea of being able to consume written content faster is a very attractive one. There are plenty of services that try to scale down online articles to just their essential ideas like tldr.it. Also, there are aggregators and, of course, there is Twitter. EyeWeb, an upcoming iPhone app that should see the light sometime this week takes on the problem from the other side. It's designed to make you read faster.
