One of the App Store’s most popular apps, Shazam, has recently received a significant update. The music discovery app now includes unlimited tagging for the first time plus other neat features.

After long promoting iTunes and music in its stores, Starbucks, the coffee distribution chain and long time Apple partner has begun giving out free apps to its customers as part of its "Pick of the Week" promotion.

Shazam has just announced a brand new feature, which it has incorporated into its premium Shazam Encore application for the iPhone and iPod touch. The feature - called "LyricPlay" - allows users to tag a track and immediately view the song's lyrics in real-time.

Shazam has updated their main lineup of music identifying apps for iPhone and iPod touch to include a new sharing feature that allows you and your friends to put your tagged music on display.

If you've had your iPhone for more then a week I can pretty much guarentee that you've heard of Shazam. You know, It's the, "What's that song?" app. Whip out your phone open the app, and it finds the artist and song title.
