Play Fallout, Doom and Skyrim in New Ways With Bethesda Pinball
Late last year, Zen Studios partnered with Bethesda to update the former’s Zen Pinball game with content based on the latter’s blockbuster gaming franchises. Now, said content has been made available as a standalone game in the form of Bethesda Pinball.
Bethesda and Zen Studios team up for an epic pinball game
In Bethesda Pinball, you’ll be able to enjoy playing pinball on tables inspired by Bethesda’s epic gaming universes: Fallout, Doom, and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.
On the Fallout pinball table, based on the open-world role-playing game, you can join factions, raid vaults, and collect Bobbleheads as you explore the vast post-nuclear Wasteland.
On the Doom pinball table, based on the sci-fi horror first-person shooter, you can try your luck at becoming the Doom Slayer by fighting demons across the UAC research facility.
And on the Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim pinball table, based on the action role-playing game, you can improve your skills with weapons, magic, armor, goods, materials, and more, and complete side quest before daring to defeat the dragon known as Alduin the World-Eater and thereby earning the name of Dragonborn.
While they’ve been available in Zen Pinball, the pinball tables in Bethesda Pinball are well-served by their being the focus of a standalone game. Bethesda Pinball appeals particularly to fans of any or all of the featured franchises, but it bears mentioning that the game is enjoyable in its own right to fans of digital pinball gaming in general, people who just love tapping to work the flippers and swiping to give the tables a little bump.
What’s more, Bethesda Pinball features asynchronous multiplayer match-up for competing against players from around the world, along with unlockable upgrades unique to each table. Of course, there’s also the remarkable graphics and sounds that have long been hallmarks of Zen Studios’ pinball games.
Zen Studios has gained a reputation for making digital pinball games based on popular entertainment brands, and Bethesda’s hugely popular gaming properties are no exception. If you’re a fan of at least one of the three featured franchises — Fallout, Doom, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim — then you need hardly be told to check out Bethesda Pinball. And if you’re not, you might want to try Bethesda Pinball nonetheless for its “stunning yet hostile” take on pinball gaming, especially since the game is free to play.
Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad, Bethesda Pinball is available now on the App Store as a free download. The game lets you choose your starter table for free and then unlock tables by winning multiplayer matches or directly via in-app purchase.
