Apps For Doctors With iPads

Doctors are beginning to adopt the iPad into their workflow at the hospital. There are some apps that can actually enable doctors to be more efficient. This AppList will showcase some of the most useful apps for doctors. There is also an in depth discussion with a doctor out of Texas over at the iPad Possibilities Podcast. PubMed On Tap

Many doctors will actually use this app to input data into the EMR system many hospitals have. If you are looking for a way to run Mac or Windows apps on the iPad, this is a great solution.

Mailer - Newsletters and Group Mail

Doctors are often need to send out group emails. The built in mail app is not the best for managing different mailing lists. The app is great for doctors needing power email sending functionality. The app can save email templates, delay mail with a mailing queue, have multiple accounts, and have different styling. There is nothing quite like Mailer and if you are a power email sender, then this is an app for you.

Micromedex Drug Information

These results include: generic names, trade names, black box warnings, dosage info, administration, monitoring, precautions, adverse effects, and much more. If you are a doctor prescribing drugs day in and day out, then this is a great app.

Lexicomp

If you are a doctor this is a great service to use and there is even an institution version of the app if your hospital subscribes.

Citrix Receiver
