Following this, @p0sixninja of the Chronic Dev-Team confirmed that this exploit is indeed legitimate, but added that it's being kept "highly guarded" for the time being. Now, a video has been uploaded to @pod2g's YouTube channel, demonstrating the untethered jailbreak solution on an iOS device running iOS 5.
In a number of Twitter updates which hit the Web earlier today, iPhone Dev-Team member @MuscleNerd confirmed that the upcoming version of redsn0w will make use of users' SHSH blobs for iOS 5.0+.
