Finally, you can now play Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft on your iPhone or iPod touch
At long last, Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft is now playable on iPhone and iPod touch.
The acclaimed free-to-play online collectible card game developed by Blizzard Entertainment was launched for Mac in March last year and for iPad the following month. But it’s only now that it has arrived on iPhone and iPod touch through its just released universal update.
Fortunately, Hearthstone for iPhone is well worth the wait.
Rather than a mere scaled-down version of the iPad game, Hearthstone for iPhone is a port, as it were, that features a new interface specially designed for smaller screens (particularly with regard to card interaction). This makes for more intuitive mobile dueling while still offering the same quality of experience that Hearthstone has been known for.
Of course, you’ll have full access to your existing card collection when you log in to Hearthstone on your iPhone or iPod touch. You’ll also be able to enjoy all of Hearthstone’s existing features and content, including Curse of Naxxramas, Goblins vs Gnomes, and the recently released Blackrock Mountain.

What’s more, in celebration of Hearthstone’s going universal, a free Classic card pack will be awarded to anyone who finishes a game, win or lose, for the first time on iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad.
Also including some bug fixes and other improvements, the new universal version of Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft is available now on the App Store for free. It’s optimized for iPhone 4S, fifth-generation iPod touch, iPad 2, and newer devices.
