BBC iPlayer is in the process of planning its international rollout, but don't get too excited - before the online service hits the USA, it's heading to western Europe, apparently by the end of this year.
The official BBC iPlayer iPad application is now available to download from the UK App Store, for free. BBC iPlayer allows users to catch up on the past week's TV and radio, as well as tune in to live TV. This can all be done within the app, providing you're connected to a Wi-Fi network.
The official BBC iPlayer iOS application will launch Thursday, according to a recent Twitter post by BBC Interactive Operations Engineer Geoff Marshall. As of this moment, we're not sure if the app will be global, or UK only.
