Apple might delay the release of the iPhone 5 until 2012. Could this be true?

Despite an earlier report stating the opposite, the iPhone 5 will not debut in June, according to a new report. Instead, apparently this year's WWDC will focus on software instead of hardware.

In a press release minutes ago, Apple announced to the world that the new Worldwide Developer conference, or WWDC, will be taking place this year from June 6-10 at Moscone West in San Francisco.

If you've been holding out for a white iPhone handset, then we have some good news for you. According to a recent email from Apple CEO Steve Jobs, the company may be considering a Christmas launch for the elusive handset.
