The App Store now controls 59 percent of the global app market, according to a new Research2Guidance report. Apple’s app share has dropped 22 percent since 2008, mainly due to the introduction of the Android Market. However, it will be the next two years that determines who will lead for years to come.

Breaking: Apple Announces iWork For iPhone - Available Now?

In a press release that hit the Web moments ago, Apple announced the availability of iWork for iPhone. Now, the company's iWork for iPad suite has been updated, and the three apps - Pages, Numbers and Keynote - are universal (although we're not seeing them in the App Store yet). Currently, each app is available to download for $9.99 each.
